hello. im finallyback from prague, and the blahblah camp.
prague was cool. the weather was great, even though we were all shivering when nightime came. overall i enjoyed myself, really. esp the dinner cruise on the last day! SAC and Dunman were singing together on the top of the boat, voluntarily. wonder if that'll ever happen again. mr toh's family tagged along too. his baby girl is soo cute. haha. funny. let's talk about some interesting stuffs.
TOP 10:
1. All of us bonded a whole lot thru this tour (including Dunman Choir, on the whole) and i'm very grateful for that.2.Hotel Opatov, our first hotel, had four lifts. but we still had to climb up 18 flights of stairs twice, cos those bloody lifts refused to work. PLUS those 'kenasai' yellow-haired beings were totally racist and refused to allow us to enter the working lifts. 3. Not that i'm being cocky, or putting them down, but some choirs which took part were really below acceptable standard. there was this choir -which was supp to be the best in a certain country (better not give details, ppl might sue me)- which sang out of tune even when they had piano accompaniment! they won best choir of their category somemore. we all agreed that if they joined SYF, they'd prob get a bronze, or a silver at most. sheesh..4. They use bus tickets which has durations of 20 mins up to several weeks. they just tag it on their first day of usage, and have to keep it till the 'expiry' date. (i think that system is just weird lah.) 5. One of the judges at the competition was really rude. no social etiquette at all. which judge puts his head on the table, rests his forehead and chin on his palm and refuses to look up at the performers? he did that to quite a few choirs. like, HELLO? international competition?6.Their pets can move almost anywhere. The Metro (s'pore's equivalent of the MRT), shopping centers, trams etc. and they can be really beeeg.7. Hotel Harmony, our second hotel, turned out to be really cosy. maybe cos our room was the biggest of all. cheryl, shuyun & i were ecstatic. and some elderly bitch even wanted to take our room from us, saying it was SUPPOSED to be theirs. teacher, my foot. 8. As i said, the ppl were really racist. most of them, at least. they played 60% in spoiling the trip.9. Our Finland city tour turned out to be really stupid, and a total waste of time. all thanks to that woman. still annoys me till now.10.Our second tour guide, Jay, swept some girls off their feet. haha, AHEM.
i miss prague! i miss the weather; i miss the food (although it's expensive); i miss singing at the top of our lungs evry night as we all walked back to our hotel; i miss hanging out with my darling choir members, crapping, gossipping (esp sharon, anna, janey); i miss screaming with the rest when our GOLD award was announced, even though it lasted for just that moment; i miss teasing Mavis together with the rest about her jacket, and her Jay Chou imitation..and so, soo much more. oh well, we all know that all good things hve to come to an end. these memories will stay with me forever.
To SAC Choir, Thank you for playing such a vital role in spicing up my life in SAC, for all the tears, laughter and fun we shared together. Let's all continue to work at raising our standards and accomplishing much, much more. Make the school proud, and change evryone's immature thoughts about SAC CHOIR GIRLS. I'll definitely miss all of us when I leave the school, and i believe all those becoming Sec 4s next year will too.Not forgetting, our most beloved Mr Toh. For making the trip much more livelier with his humour; for teaching us so many meaningful life lessons amidst the scoldings; for helping us understand the meaning of working for something you really want; for inspiring us with his passion; for being so patient with us; and for his unending love and care for us.Love to all who's a part of SAC CHOIR. We did it.
ps: don't forget our Harry Potter movie date! ((:
